Union 76 (union76.com)

Gasoline with some USA Content

Lots of Ethanol Made in USA. Caution!, maybe some now imported from Brazil.
Union 76 California blend gasoline "May contain up to 10% ethanol"
(per pump label ~10-10, but not all stations have pumps labeled, 11-10) (per usstuff.com 11-3-10).
Ethanol is made from corn grown on US soil. (per Auto Tips (inct.net/~autotips/) email 8-15-99)

Most crude oil imported. Much from mid-east. Ethanol made from corn grown on US soil. Some gas stations sell ethanol blend gasoline. A way to support US farmers and processing. Have always had very good results in MPG and engine performance using it. Usually get 2 to 4 mpg better on the highway in comparison drives. EPA got rid of ethanol blend for Summer '99. Foreign oil producing countries were lobbying congress / administration to get ethanol out of our gasoline. Rep from local gas station chain said no longer required to put label on pump stating ethanol blend. Makes it harder to tell who you are supporting. My last car had around 170k miles on it, I used ethanol blend mostly, no fuel related problems. It was a 1985 4 cyl turbo. Original injectors, car ran great when sold. Mechanic said he never saw one of those go so long without a new turbo. Previous two cars had over 150k each, mostly ethanol blend, no fuel system problems. Cars ran great when sold.
